Berkeley Center for Cosmological Physics
Challenge
Design an identity that visually captures the essence of Berkeley Center for Cosmological Physics, founded by Nobel Laureate George Smoot, and its study of cosmological physics.
Solution
Arranged forms in an orbit to suggest the origin of the physical universe. Its celestial bodies, represented by circles, radiate out from the white space in the middle and at the same time converge on a central location. In addition, this dynamic relationship can represent connections between people in a unified organization as well as aspects of outreach, research, and education.
